PEQUANNOCK - Town leaders in Pequannock have wrapped a giant pink ribbon around City Hall for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month started more than 25 years ago as part of the national movement to make women aware of the disease.

The goal is to encourage people to share information about the disease and provide greater access to medical services.

Breast cancer is the second most common cancer among women in the U.S.
