People in Pompton Lakes demand help from flooding

POMPTON LAKES - Hurricane Irene, and Tropical Storm Lee have done a number on Pompton Lakes.

Now, those that live in the Passaic County town are demanding that they get help. Carmen Gazaferi says her area, street and town have been forgotten by politicians, responders, even garbage collectors who didn't come after the cleanup from Hurricane Irene. Gazaferi and many others are hoping for a helping hand. Residents here are convinced a dam project that protects Oakland, along with a lack of dredging is causing their massive regular floods. They say once the project to stop the flooding in Oakland was completed, floods got worse in Pompton Lakes.
