WALL - Memorial Day weekend is over, and traffic picked up as thousands headed back home from the shore.

Many beachgoers stayed late Monday because they felt cheated by the earlier part of the weekend.

Local roads in shore towns were packed with tourists, but many are happy to see life returning to the shore after Sandy.
