ENGLEWOOD - Six days after Saturday's nor'easter, emergency rooms are still experiencing a snowstorm hangover as patients pile in. Doctors at Englewood Medical Center say that the volume of patients from the storm is unprecedented.

People who have been without power for days are starting to feel the health effects of being in cold and dark houses. Chief ER Doctor David Istvan says even several days after the storm, he's still seeing a higher-than-normal volume of patients. Many are now sick because they haven't had heat or electricity for days.Dr. Istvan says they've seen patients with hypothermia, carbon monoxide poisoning and shoveling and chainsaw injuries.

Englewood Medical Center says the ER staff has been working overtime to make sure every patient is seen. It admits, however, that people with minor injuries are sometimes waiting longer than normal
