Paterson woman faces loss for second time

PATERSON - A Paterson woman is calling for the violence to end after she is forced to face loss again as the result of a shooting.

Cheryl Burke says her family's pain started when her daughter's boyfriend, Robert Godfrey was shot and killed during a block party in Paterson on August 4. The incident took place during Paterson's National Night Out Against Violence.

This week, Burke's 18-year-old grandson was shot to death, blocks away from his home. Burke says her pain is deep and that it's time for the violence to stop in Paterson.
