PATERSON - Seniors at the PANTHER Academy in Paterson are rushing to finish a course they need in order to graduate.

Students say they were told as freshmen that they could bypass a biology class, but are now being informed that it is required. About 12 students are affected by the curriculum change.

Officials with the district are helping teach the material by working the class into students' current schedules. Meantime, the superintendent is apparently calling for a review of the district's guidance department.
