PATERSON - The iPhone is a commodity that Paterson police say thieves are using to lure targets.

Authorities say that a gang of thieves has been posting ads for iPhones, asking buyers or sellers to meet them in Paterson's northside. When responders to the ads arrive, they're held up at gunpoint and robbed.

Police say if you use Internet sales websites, know who you're dealing with and make deals during the day in public places.
