PATERSON - Police in Paterson are turning to the public for help in catching a violent suspect. Police released a video on their Facebook page of what appears to be a man attacking a victim with a machete during an attempted robbery at US Chicken on Straight Street last month. With cuts made to the force, the police department says it's trying a different approach in tracking down suspects. It is their hope that using social media will help them solve this and other crimes. Police say they have identified the suspect as Tyree Seegers, 22. Two other suspects in the attack, Omar Villota and Joell Gomez, have been arrested. Authorities say the victim has since recovered after being hospitalized for several days.
