Paterson police ask public to help find shooter who wounded 3 after opening fire from bicycle

PATERSON - Paterson police are searching for a gunman who opened fire and struck three people while riding a bicycle last month.

Authorities say the incident happened in the early morning hours of Sept. 21. The suspect can be seen on surveillance video approaching the intersection of Park Avenue and 18th Street, where a group of people were gathered. Shots rang out, causing the group to scatter.

The suspect is then seen entering an apartment building about five blocks away.

Detectives are now asking the public to help identify the suspect. Anyone with information is urged to call Paterson police at 973-321-1111.
