Police arrest 14 suspects in prostitution sting in Paterson

PATERSON - Police in Passaic County say they arrested 14 suspects in a prostitution sting in Paterson on Thursday.

The Passaic County Sheriff's Office says the arrests were made early Thursday morning at several locations including Market Street, the corner of Broadway and Straight Street, and the corner of Van Houten and Summer streets.

The arrests were part of a “quality of life detail,” an initiative that aims to clean up street crimes.

Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik said his office will continue to conduct quality of life operations focusing on weapons, drugs and prostitution enforcement.
