PATERSON - Family members are seeking answers in the fatal hit-and-run accident that killed Peter Waddy two weeks ago.

After speaking with alleged eyewitnesses, family members believe that a law enforcement officer may have been behind the wheel.

The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office says that someone is under investigation, but would not say if he or she is a city employee. They say a white SUV, possibly a Jeep, was involved. Officials say that no one has come forward saying that they saw the incident occur. They are asking for anyone with information to contact Passaic County authorities.

Waddy, 31, was on his motorcycle when he was struck by the vehicle. No arrests have been made.
