Genesis' father Alexis Rincon and big sister, also named Alexis, who was with her sister when she was shot, were among the speakers.

"Whoever did this has no type of heart," says Genesis' sister. "How can you sleep at night?"

After making their case to the crowd, family members took their pleas to city council members and the mayor. They are pushing for an end to violence, hoping this loss is enough to make it happen.
