PATERSON - Officials in Paterson are considering forcing businesses to close their doors at midnight due to a recent rise in violence.

The curfew comes after yesterday's early morning robbery attempt at the Esperanza grocery store on Broadway where a mother and son were shot. While some are concerned about young people hanging out a late night establishment, bodega owners say a curfew is not a total solution.

Paterson's Council president says there will be a town hall meeting on Oct. 15 and 22 to discuss the business curfew.
