PASSAIC - A Passaic County father was charged for allegedly physically assaulting his infant daughter.

Authorities say that John Bang, 40, of Passaic, was charged with aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child for harming his 3-month-old daughter.

A news release sent by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office did not provide details on the assault or what injuries the child may have suffered.

Bang’s bail was set at $300,000. He faced a Passaic County judge Tuesday.

If convicted of the charges, each carries a maximum sentence of 10 years.
