EAST RUTHERFORD - Police are hoping Jets fans don't walk onto Route 120 like some Giants fans did after Sunday's game. There is a footbridge that crosses the state route, but the Giants fans opted to cross the route directly.

Police say fans that didn't have prepaid parking and had to park elsewhere jumped fences, crossed busy highways and put their lives at risk. Some lots around the stadium are far from completion, forcing some to park further away.

Dozens of jaywalking tickets were issued. Police say they don't normally do that, but they're trying to prevent another accident like the one in May that injured soccer fans who knocked down a fence.
