HOWELL - A new park in Howell Township honors Russian history with statues of pre-communist figures.

The Park of Glory on Alexander Avenue is home to 28 bronze busts, shipped to the U.S. from Russia.

The Russian immigrant who built the park says it's the only one of its kind in the world.

Alexander Bonarev says the park represents the friendship between Russia and the U.S.

The park is adjacent to the Russian House Community Center. Bonarev says it's the perfect place for the park because of the large Russian-American population in the area.
