Parents call for harsher punishment in Elizabeth school beating

ELIZABETH - An Elizabeth High School student says she was beaten last week by her classmates, and that those students filmed the entire event and posted it online.

The victim, Diandra Murray, and her guardians, say they want to shed light on the incident to get justice. Murray's parents they're going to continue to press the issue for a harsher punishment. Their daughter has not been back to school since the incident.

News 12 New Jersey also tried to contact Elizabeth school officials regarding the incident, but did not hear back.
