SOUTH BRUNSWICK - Police say two suspects have been using a sawed-off shotgun to rob gas stations in East Brunswick, South Brunswick, Edison and North Brunswick in the span of one week.
Surveillance cameras captured the image of two men with white T-shirts wrapped around their faces. Investigators say the suspects have held up four gas stations. They say they always strike in the early morning hours when customers are scarce.
Authorities say the men first struck on Sept. 15 at the Exxon station near Route 18 and Rues Lane in East Brunswick. A day later, they hit the Valero station near Route 1 and Raymond Road. They then robbed the Fuel One station on Route 1 in Edison on Sept. 18, and the BP station near Route 27 and Finnegan’s Lane in North Brunswick.
