STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - (AP) - A police chief says his departmentdidn't receive reports from a Penn State graduate assistant whotestified to a grand jury that he saw a former defensivecoordinator raping a boy in the team showers in 2002.

State College police Chief Tom King says Mike McQueary didn'tmake a report to his department about Jerry Sandusky.

McQueary wrote in a Nov. 8 email to a friend that he'd talked topolice about that allegation. The email was made available Tuesdayto The Associated Press.

McQueary's testimony led authorities to charge Sandusky withabusing eight boys over 15 years.

In the email, McQueary didn't specify which police department hespoke to.

A school spokeswoman says campus police also don't have recordsof a 2002 report.

Sandusky has denied charges.

Pennsylvania legislative leaders aremaking plans for a special panel made up of lawmakers from bothparties in both chambers to consider changes to state law in thewake of the child sex-abuse charges.
