Owners of lost pup sought in Newark

"Frisbee" was found wandering near the Jersey Turnpike more than a week ago. (1/10/13)

NEWARK - He's smart, energetic and friendly, but the owners of a lost Australian Cattle Dog named Frisbee are nowhere to be found.

State police spotted the year-old dog wandering alone near the New Jersey Turnpike near Jersey City a week ago.

Frisbee was taken in by the Associated Humane Societies of Newark. They say the dog appears to be well cared for and knows many tricks, so they're certain he belongs to someone.

Unfortunately, Frisbee came with no tags or a microchip, so his owners are a mystery.

Anyone who knows who Frisbee belongs to is encouraged to contact the Associated Humane Societies of Newark.
