ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS - Parking on residential streets in Englewood Cliffs is about to get more difficult for visitors because of the town's attempt to make more places available to residents.

There will be no parking from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m. except for residents, effective immediately.

Non-residents used to be able to park after 6 a.m., but the chief of police says people from neighboring towns in need of parking would leave their cars in Englewood Cliffs and then take a commuter bus home.

Cars without residential parking permits during those hours will be issued a warning or ticketed. The chief says residents with overnight guests can give the police a call ahead of time.
