HARRISON - Morning commuters will have to be on the lookout as overnight temperatures drop and water left on the state's roads and highways turns to ice.

Ramps and overpasses are particularly prone to ice, but any area with standing water can become a hazard.

"I got to work early before the snow started so that was good been at work all day snowing," says Joe Odock , of Harrison. "So now it's done, so just have to watch freezing roads and black ice."

As of 5 p.m. Tuesday, state police had responded to 140 calls for crashes. They were urging people to stay off roads like I-280.
