Overnight fire damages Butler home

Overnight fire damages Butler home (12/8/15)

BUTLER - Authorities are trying to determine what caused an overnight fire at a home in Butler.

The single-alarm blaze broke out at around 3 a.m. in a home on Maple Lake Road.

Butler Fire Department Assistant Chief Chris Finelli told News 12 New Jersey that there were “a couple of injuries” but said the extent of the injuries was unknown.

A neighbor tells News 12 New Jersey two people lived in the home and both were taken to a hospital.

Firefighters from Kinnelon, Bloomingdale and Pompton Lakes were called in to help bring the fire under control.
