Ortley Beach sees beach erosion during snowstorm

ORTLEY BEACH - The major snowstorm left northern areas in New Jersey with over a foot of snow, but down the shore it was the high winds that did the most damage.

Ortley Beach is one spot dealing with erosion after losing about 10 percent of its dunes during high tide.

The dunes were shored up and, in some cases, recreated after a severe nor'easter in January destroyed much of the dune line.

Gov. Christie says the state will investigate.
