WEEHAWKEN - According to some published reports, Formula 1 executives have canceled a race set to take place in Hudson County because they say local organizers have missed deadlines.

Host cities West New York and Weehawken have already received funding for agreeing to host. The race was expected to bring millions of dollars in revenue to the cities.

Mayors of both host towns say they're unaware of the claims. They say as far they're concerned, the race is still on.

If the race does happen, New Jersey as a whole stands to bring in $100 million.
