LIVINGSTON - Patients who took part in life-saving kidney exchanges met face to face today at Saint Barnabas Medical Center.

A total of 10 people from New Jersey, Pennsylvania and California had surgery either to donate or receive a kidney.

Janet Parker, who wanted to be an "altruistic donor," started the kidney transplant chain.

Parker says that despite some post-op pain and discomfort, the surgery was manageable.

Today's reunion was an emotional one for both donors and recipients.
