ORANGE - Orange Mayor Eldridge Hawkins Jr. lost his bid for re-election last night.

Hawkins was ousted by Dwayne Warren, the city council's legislative research officer. Hawkins got 32 percent of the votes, while Warren picked up 38 percent of the votes.

Hawkins posted on his Twitter page following the election: "We waged a good fight, did a lot of positive things n 4 that I thank all of my supporters. We made a difference n 4 that I have no regrets!"
