OLD BRIDGE - An Old Bridge home that erupted into flames may have to be torn down, according to fire officials.

The three-alarm fire started Monday morning, apparently after a contractor struck a gas main, according to fire officials.

Rich Spencer lives across the street. "I heard a loud boom, ran outside, and the whole corner of the house was missing," he says.

According to reports, the homeowners were having their bathroom renovated. The contractor says everyone was out of the house.

Neighbors said they could feel their houses shake when an explosion occurred.

Dozens of firefighters were needed to put out the fire.

There are no injuries reported at this time.
