ORANGE - Fire officials are searching for what may have sparked a house fire that killed a 37-year-old woman and her 8-year-old son in Orange Sunday morning.

Tanji Dewberry and her son Evan Soler were discovered in the burnt remains of the intense blaze on the 500-block of Berkeley Avenue.

Heywood Avenue Elementary classmates spoke to News 12 outside the home Monday, saying he was always playing games with them. Evan's father Virgilio Soler described him as an energetic kid who was social and loved baseball.

The Orange Public School District says it has grief counselors on hand to help students deal with the loss of their classmate.
