Officials: No bomb found after threat at Kearny postal facility

KEARNY - Kearny police investigated a bomb threat today at the postal facility located at 1200 Harrison Ave.

Reportedly, an employee went into the bathroom at 9 a.m. and found graffiti on the wall saying that a bomb would go off today. The employee told his supervisor who contacted authorities.

Area law enforcement responded with several K-9 units after 225 employees were evacuated. Officials say the building was swept and all clear by 1 p.m. this afternoon.

The Postal Inspection Service is leading an investigation into the threat.
