ELIZABETH - Two boys who were reported missing last night are home safe after a widespread police response.

The boys, ages 8 and 12, returned home to their father at around 4 a.m. this morning after being found in East Orange.

Authorities say the boys were unharmed, but did not say why they went out on their own in the middle of the night.
