HACKENSACK - Some officials are blaming ear buds for the train fatality that took place in Hackensack yesterday.

New Jersey Transit says that ear buds used to listen to music may have obstructed 12-year-old Caesar Muloki's hearing, which resulted in him being hit by a train. Tuesday?s accident is the second deadly train incident involving iPods in Bergen County in less than two months.

A spokesman for New Jersey Transit says the agency is encouraging all parents to take time with their children to learn about staying alert near train tracks.

Officials are hoping this recent tragedy will serve as a lesson to young people to pay attention.
