HOBOKEN - The U.S. Congress is currently mulling over whether or not to allow off-shore oil exploration and drilling along the New Jersey coastline, a prospect which angers many local environmentalists.

"It's almost as if we have a case of amnesia, what happened in the Gulf of Mexico," says Cindy Zipf, of Clean Ocean Action. "And we're now just sort of opening up the door to not only drilling, but drilling with less oversight, less environmental protection."

Many others agree with Zipf, saying that what happened in the Gulf with the BP oil drill disaster should not happen again, off the shore of New Jersey or anywhere else.
