EAST ORANGE - Fire officials say an off-duty firefighter rescued one person from a two-alarm blaze this morning in East Orange.

The off-duty firefighter saw the flames from his home and rushed inside the burning building at 21 Dodd St.

The fire was brought under control around 5:15 a.m., according to fire officials. They say one person suffered a minor injury as a result of the fire.

Authorities are working to determine the cause of the blaze.
