EDISON -  A slow-moving coastal storm is expected to linger near New Jersey over the next several days, which may bring an October nor’easter to the region.

The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood advisory for sections of Ocean, Middlesex and Monmouth counties. The advisory is effective through Thursday at 4 p.m.

The storm system, which is expected to bring rain and strong winds, is all that remains of Tropical Storm Karen.
