OAKLAND - Those that own homes on Lakeside Drive in Oakland have watched their backyards literally fall into the Ramapo River for years.

The homeowners are hoping that there is hope for their situation. This afternoon, borough engineers examined the yards.

Borough engineers say there is a solution to the erosion problem, but the fix could cost millions. They plan to take their findings to state and federal officials, hoping for financial help.
