FAIRVIEW - Today's rain brought flooding to parts of northern New Jersey as usual.

Many residents say flooding has been a problem in the area for years and that the counties have done nothing to correct it.

Fairview Avenue, which runs from Fairview in Bergen County to North Bergen in Hudson County, fills with tidewater every time it rains, according to residents.

Many in the area have learned to drive on the narrow sidewalk to avoid flooding their cars.
