WEEHAWKEN - The North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue unveiled a new fire and rescue boat at Lincoln Harbor Marina yesterday.

The 27-foot vessel, named "Marine 2," was purchased with a grant funded through the state Office of Homeland Security and federal sources.

The boat features a faster engine, larger pump and will soon be equipped with a $100,000 night-vision camera.

The agency is now looking for future funding toward a larger 46-foot boat that could hold more victims during a rescue.
