NORTH BERGEN - More than two dozen residents at a North Bergen apartment complex say they suffered through 100-degree temperatures without air conditioning today.

Residents at the Cullem Apartments say that a $7 million renovation project by the North Bergen Housing Authority has caused problems with their personal air conditioners.

The project calls for insulation to make the building warmer in the winter. The problem is, the new, thicker insulation causes a gap, which is why some air conditioning units aren't working well.

The North Bergen Housing Authority says it is working to solve the problem.
