NEWARK - Winter weather is headed to New Jersey, just in time for the busiest travel week of the year.

A snowstorm in the Southwest and a nor’easter that’s approaching New Jersey could make Thanksgiving travel difficult.

The storm currently pummeling areas of the Southwest leaving icy roads and cancelled flights is headed to New Jersey.

Air travel on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, could be a challenge. Kristin Henson says she already put off her holiday travel. "I was going to Alabama. I was trying to get in before all the bad weather but it wasn't working out, so I decided to wait until the weather goes through and then rebook it."

Dodanim Torres was headed to Oklahoma today, but made a sudden change of plans.

So far, flights are running on time at Newark Liberty International Airport, but airlines encourage travelers to call ahead an check on their flights.
