Nominees announced for NJ Hall of Fame

EDISON - The latest batch of nominees was announced today for the New Jersey Hall of Fame, including for the first time ever, a group.

Bruce Springsteen was inducted on his own four years ago, but after this year's death of band legend Clarence "Big Man" Clemons, the Hall of Fame thought it was time for the whole band to go in.

The late actor Christopher Reeve, of Princeton, was nominated, who became an advocate for stem cell research later in his life. Leonia resident Alan Alda was also nominated, along with Latin music legend Celia Cruz, of Union City.

The public now decides who gets in by voting online at NJ Hall of Fame website.
