SPOTSWOOD - A tree service crane trying to trim a 40-foot tree tipped over onto a Spotswood home Monday afternoon.
Police say crews were working to remove a limb when the boom fell into a home on John Street.
Part of the boom fell on a detached garage, which officials say will need to be demolished.
It also damaged a home with a woman inside. She was not hurt, but suffered shock and was taken to the hospital.
The crane operator also went to the hospital.
Spotswood Mayor Nicholas Poliseno, also the town's fire chief, says it appears the weight of the tree limb was too much for the crane to handle.
The house will be inspected for structural damage.
