A teenage girl was found shot to death

A teenage girl was found shot to death inside her East Orange apartment Wednesday morning.

EAST ORANGE - No arrest has been made in the killing of an Essex County teenager.

Seventeen-year-old Aquilla Flood was found dead in her East Orange home on Wednesday morning.

The Essex County Prosecutor's Office says the preliminary investigation indicates Flood was shot inside the home. The manner of death is pending the results of an autopsy.

Flood was a student at Campus High School. Family and friends say she was only days away from her 18th birthday, her senior prom, and graduating high school.
