CARLSTADT - Part of the New Jersey Turnpike has reopened hours after a gasoline tanker truck crash on the western spur.
Emergency construction closed the northbound lanes between Interchange 15W in Kearny to Interchange 18W in Carlstadt.
Southbound lanes reopened earlier this morning. The detour caused delays on the eastern spur.
The tanker, carrying 8,500 gallons of fuel, erupted after colliding with a minivan last night. State police say nine people were in the minivan when it crashed, and two children and an adult are currently in critical condition.
