EDISON - The New Jersey Turnpike Authority and the toll collectors union have struck a deal that will keep public collectors on the job.

Officials reached the agreement yesterday, but they still need to vote to make the move permanent.

The agreement calls for toll collectors' paychecks to drop $8,000 next year and another $7,500 the year after.
