EDISON - A wire problem on NJ Transit's Northeast Corridor Line caused heavy delays this morning for commuters.

According to the agency's website, NJ Transit Northeast Corridor service is operating on or close to schedule in both directions following the earlier wire problem near Metropark.

Nearly 100 passengers were stranded on a train in between stations for more than two hours before being transferred to another train.
