NJ Transit takes extra steps to ease trip to Meadowlands

EAST RUTHERFORD - NJ Transit it did its part to make the trip to the Meadowlands for a sold-out U2 concert tonight a pleasant one.

It ran into problems two years ago when the train station at the stadium had just opened. There were complaints of overcrowding and lack of direction.

Tonight, NJ Transit ran double-decker trains, which will increase capacity by about 20 percent. It also increased the number of customer service representatives on the platforms to make sure people know where they were going.

News 12 New Jersey spoke with those taking the train and riders had good things to say about their air-conditioned trip.
