ELIZABETH - Service on New Jersey Transit’s Northeast Corridor and New Jersey Coast Line lines has resumed after a person was struck and killed by a train near the Elizabeth Station.

However, according to the NJ Transit website, rail service was subject to some delays.

PATH cross-honored NJ Transit rail tickets at New York 33rd Street, Newark Penn Station and Hoboken Station.

Systemwide cross honoring was also in effect for rail customers on NJ Transit buses and private carriers.

Service on the two lines was suspended in both directions after the accident occurred around 7 p.m. Information about the victim has not been released.
