NJ Transit resuming commuter rail service on most lines

TRENTON - Most New Jersey Transit trains are back inbusiness today, after service was suspended because ofHurricane Irene.

NJ Transit spokesman Penny Bassett Hackett says trains arerunning fairly well. However, commuters should check theirschedules.

There is no service between New Brunswick and Trenton because offlooding. But trains are operating every 20 minutes to New YorkCity from New Brunswick.

Buses and trains are not running from the Route 23 TransitCenter in Wayne because of flooding.
