EDISON - New Jersey Transit says bus service has been restored systemwide today after disruptions caused by the blizzard.
Riders are still being advised to allow extra travel time and expect delays due to icy road conditions.
The agency will operate rail service on an enhanced weekend schedule today, with trains running less frequently than on a normal weekday. NJ Transit cites ongoing weather impacts and expected low ridership as the reason.
Service was disrupted by the massive snowstorm that dropped more than 2 feet of snow in some parts of the state.
NJ Transit said it will continue to cross-honor rail and bus tickets until further notice. All of the agency's rail station buildings and waiting rooms will remain open extended hours, including evenings and overnight, according to the NJ Transit website.
